New Horizons provides three different levels of support:

  • One-on-one skills training– individualized plans that work on self-care, daily living skills, pre-job skills, and job coaching
  • Group skills training– a small group of peers focused on interpersonal skills, goal setting, and independent living skills
  • Social Outings– partnering with Life on the Spectrum to provide regular meet ups, community outings and parent trainings

How to Connect to Life on the Spectrum

LIFE on the Spectrum is a social group for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities. It exists to provide Learning, Independence, Fun, and Employment opportunities for young adults in the CSRA community through monthly social group at Mosaic Church in Evans, monthly exciting community outings (examples: Putt Putt, movies, Augusta GreenJackets games, Level Up Game Center, etc.), and vocational opportunities and support. This group is led in partnership by Easterseals East Georgia and The Mosaic Center. Easterseals’ ‘Young Adults on the Spectrum’ group has been having fun for nearly 10 years and was thrilled to start a new chapter with The Mosaic Center, forming LIFE on the Disability Spectrum.
