Weather Closures
Center for New Beginnings generally follows school system closures, relative to the office location, for all weather related closures. However, this is contingent on the type of weather being reported and the impact to our families and staff. Please see our policy below:
Inclement Weather Policy
It is the policy of the Center for New Beginnings to remain open during most periods of inclement weather; however, where extraordinary circumstances warrant, due to weather or other unforeseen business interruption, the company reserves the right to close the facility. Should this occur, Center for New Beginnings makes closure decisions on a case by case basis as information becomes available during periods of such inclement weather and communicates this via our Facebook social media page. The company will also post the closure on the homepage of the website. Please also tune in to local news station WJBF for more information on closures and weather conditions.
Should the Center for New Beginnings need to close the clinic(s) for weather related reasons or if families choose not to attend their session due to inclement weather or school closures, your child will not have this counted as an absence. Please contact the clinic AS SOON AS POSSIBLE should you need to cancel due to inclement weather. Please use the links below for individual school system closures as well as our local news station’s weather forecast. For all other questions related to our weather policy, please call 706.437.0505.
In their own words
“I have learned so much but I always feel like I’m learning more and more from the Center. There was a time when we wouldn’t join in the activities with other children. He would scream none stop and throw things. Now he will play, run, and even encourage other kids to play with him. He still has struggles but it’s amazing how far he has come. The therapist works so well with my son, he has a great relationship with her. The staff goes above and beyond to help us in any way they can.” – Parent
